I enjoy vintage shaving regardless of the type. This is an old New Standard with a much used Feather blade. I used it for the second pass. The old John holler did the first WTG and last ATG passes plus a little clean up.

I should add the Holler edge was improved upon with 200k diamond paste. I consider it near shavette efficient.

Kikuboshi 45, finished on a coti with heavy mineral oil on the final strokes - I don’t think it likes the mineral oil, so it’s going to be touched up on the same stone with clear water later today. Soap was MdC fougere lathered with a Rooney 1/3 Silvertip and a splash of Agua Balsamica finished up a shave that could have been better if I had been better! I’m a coti noob so that’s just part of it. The brush is a beast! It’s big, bigger than I usually like, it’s dense, and did I say that it was big? I’m hoping that it will help burn through some of my SAD acquisitions, lol

Fantastic shave tonight, from an American Made razor. Perfect 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Zero issues, and a Joy to use. This little known, or unknown razor around here, takes a very very sharp and smooth edge. One of the best shaving razors I have.

    Razor- Tupper-Spiegel Co. Duluth Minn.
Brush- The Brush, By Tom. B400. Omega Boar Knot
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy
Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy. Willys Jeep Decanter.

Beauty of a Herder there Chuck.

Today’s shave was with my well-worn but fine Hayashi test razor honed on a stone that I’m testing, details in the honing thread. The cream was AdP Collezione Barbiere lathered with a Rooney beehive. A dab of ABC almond balm gave me a DFS+ shave, but not epic. So back to the stone for a touchup and added some clear water finishing. The edge seems to be improved, so I’ll find out if I get ‘epic’ tomorrow. Can’t wait, darn slow growing whiskers, lol.

Second outing with this lovely John & Wm Ragg Napoleon and the shave was nothing short of As-Good-As-It-Gets. :happy036:

First time with the Barrister & Mann Reserve Lavender. Great lather, great aroma - thanks for the tip @Primotenore :happy088:

No point in posting the same Hayashi twice in a row, the clear water touch up took the thin slurry edge from 95% to close to perfect. Smoothness improved very noticeably, and I am dolphin smooth. Soap was MdC original in ‘brain bowl’ lathered with a Rooney 1/3 Silvertip and a spash of Agua Balsamica finished up.
