Well, this morning I lathered up with the C&E BBB on the first pass and the Kent on the second pass. The Kent feels way smoother, softer, holds the warmth of the lather, too. I think the biggest thing here is that the Kent was just drastically different than what I had expected. Having used it more, I am really starting to appreciate it more. Also, having a third brush here for comparisons gives me a much better frame of reference and allows me to form a more accurate picture of the situation. What this whole experience is really doing is it's making me want to try out more brushes. I just wish there was a way to try out high end brushes without having to buy them and then resell them. Speak of, is there a way that I don't know of??? I'm really interested in trying out Savile Row brushes and Rooney, and I'm even open to the idea of a Shavemac. I also keep hearing about Simpsons, but I hear they're in the $200-300+ range, and I just flat out don't want to spend that much on a brush. Could someone maybe explain to me what the benefit of the Simpson is - or even of the "Finest" Rooneys? Anyhow, I just want to try some other stuff. In the end, I may even stick with the Kent. I just don't know yet, but it should be fun to try it out.
Hmmmm... I just saw a brush that I'm more than a little interested in. I went over to Badger and Blade to get a link to put in someone else's thread about a scuttle here on TSD, and I saw their new 2008 custom brush. It's going to be handmade by Kent, with white-tipped badger hair, a step above their standard silvertip, with a 45mm loft, and triple-density. Seems very interesting.
Rivals? Nah.. as far as I know none of the forums are rivals with each other. That would be kinda silly now wouldn't it, considering we are all here for the same reason.
Well, you never know, lol. When I was active in car forums a few years back, there were certainly rivalries there. Anyhow, this brush looks sweet. The only thing I wish was different is the B&B text or logo on the handle. It's nothing against B&B - I'm just a purist, and I wish it only said Kent, regardless of which forum it came from. Either way, though, I think I'm gonna try to get one.
OMG, you posted a link from another website............HOW DARE YOU SIR! >Just kidding you brother the post only violates penal code 4478321 sections A class D F and G. Next time read the User Agreement :happy102
I notice you conspicuously left out the letter B. B as in Badger and Blade. Also C and E, so I guess you hate Crabtree and Evelyn as well. I see what you're up to. ::duel
