Played 18 holes of golf(walked). Split wood for 2 hours. I think a glass of wine with some olives, cheese, and some crackers are in order.
Good workout today. Incline press x 4, Machine flyes x 5, bench press x 4, Low cable crossovers x 4. Scott triceps press-downs x 4, hammer machine reverse grip dips x4, cable overhead triceps extension x 4, dumbbell skull crushers x 4. All sets done with weight added progressively. Vertical chair knee raise x3, torso rotation machine x 3. Ended workout with 23 minutes in the sauna.
I walk and jog for 5 miles every Sunday on the treadmill while watching movies. A couple times a week I also walk just under 3 miles during my lunch break.
30 minute on recumbent bike followed by 18 minutes on treadmill. Leg extensions x4, standing leg curls x4, calf raises x6 then ended workout with 20 minutes in sauna.
Yesterday was the day that most wannabe gym rats as myself try to avoid. It was leg day. But the good thing about leg day is that when you first get started it is usually a pretty good and enjoyable workout. After I did me legs, I found I had some extra time, so I did a few shoulder exercises as well. It was a good day in the north, and probably the last day of summer. In other words, Winter is coming
Had Home physical Therapy Evaluation today. Many exercises designed to get the knee to the point of 120° flexion and -3° extension. One week out of surgery and am at a surprising 88°/0°. Doing laps around the house and trips to the mail box with a cane for support. Will do a couple hours on CPM early this evening.
Seated Military Press x3 Upright row x4 dumbbell lateral raise x 4, standing dumbbell press pinky up x 4, bent over lateral raise x4 (weight added progressively for each set). Followed by vertical chair knee raise x4, torso rotation machine x 4. Finish off with 20 minutes in the sauna.
1 hour... CPM machine 10.. Leg extensions 1 set air-writing abc's thru the letter Z with leg fully extended 20 stand/sit squats 20 calf raises 20 calf extensions 1 hr ... CPM machine For the AM set Repeat later this afternoon.
