The band leader/guitarist/vocalist is Brian Setzer. He rose to fame in the eighties as the leader of Long Island, NY based rockabilly band "The Stray Cats." he is my favorite guitarist ever to play jazz, big band, or rockabilly.

I hear his ants were once percussionists for The Mamas and the Papas.

Can I throw in a "phrase" as we discuss "words" here? We always hear, from politicians, businessmen, etc....the phrase "Let me say this". As I think about it, we can't avoid "letting" the speaker "say" whatever he/she wants to say, unless we jump right in after the "let me say this" by saying "Whatever you want to say, I won't let you say it".

My stock response to "can I ask you a question?" is "you just did."

I follow that with "Would you care to try for two?"

Let me say this-you guys got me good :). But I do hear all the time when there's a talk-show panel, one of the panelists jumps in with "Can I say that I...." and he/she proceeds to say what is on his/her mind.
