Well as recommended by all the talking heads on the TV, as Seattle moves through a most unusual heat wave for our temperate climate - I'm forcing fluids -
one ice-cold Corona at a time!

Glass of golden liquid, with a sweet aroma and easy going down. Apple juice! Enjoying an Oliva cigar, and I happen to like apple juice with cigars or with a pipe.

I seldom drink during a work week, but my unmarried wife and kids has gone away for a few days to visit the grandparent while I am "stuck" at work. :)
So what better way to spend a pleasant evening in solitude than with a glass of Ardbeg and some good tunes from my headphones while browsing my favourite forum.
    Sláinte everyone

I visited when I lived in Houston. It's a cool way to spend a couple of hours.

I love my kids, but two or three times a year they go off to the mountains with their grandmother and I take the chance to sit back and enjoy the solitude. They start back to school tomorrow so I'll have a few hours of that daily for a while.

I did a head to head comparison test tonite, a small dram of each with a dash of spring water.

The Laphroig quarter cask won out, but not by much. I'll have to try this again soon without the dash of water.

In The Quiet Man, Maureen O'Hara asked Barry Fitzgerald if he could use a little water in his whiskey. He replied; When I drink whiskey I drink whiskey. When I drink water I drink water.

I have done the same, just with the 18 year old instead of the 10, and I also found the Quarter Cask to be best. It really is an amazing dram

Discovered a new, to me, Cider at Target and was rather pleasantly surprised.

    6% alc, 650 ml - at $2.50!

This is their Bourbon flavored one

I think Wild Turkey is highly underrated. I truly enjoy the 101 and now you may have me try out rare breed...

101 is my go to everyday drink, Rare breed is good 120 proof and very smooth.
