Nice. I'm moving on to my other glass of bourbon. I consider it pre-game-day prep :D

Tonight's going to be Three Olive Espresso Vodka and Kahlua, to root for the Seahawks with a coffee-flavored beverage.

Got a 12 pack of these a couple of days ago. Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye IPA. Pretty good.

I like Sierra Nevada, their other IPA's are very good too. Haven't tried the Ruthless.

I have to give that one a try. I've never had a rye before. Is it spicy like rye whisky? Dryer finish?

To my sensibilities - and possibly mine alone - rye beers have a 'sourdough' characteristic to them that makes them closer to a Flemish Sour than an IPA.

This one didn't have that characteristic. Flemish Sours are some of my favorites, unfortunately I haven't found any American Craft Brewer varieties, and have an aversion to spending $4+ a bottle at Spec's

The only sours I am familiar with are the Russian River ones, Supplication, Sanctification, Consecration. They are pretty hard to come by. No idea if they are Flemish or not.

Woodstock Fellowship Ale tonight. It's an IPA - so hoppier than I generally like - with an odd grapefruit finish.
