To my sensibilities - and possibly mine alone - rye beers have a 'sourdough' characteristic to them that makes them closer to a Flemish Sour than an IPA.
This one didn't have that characteristic. Flemish Sours are some of my favorites, unfortunately I haven't found any American Craft Brewer varieties, and have an aversion to spending $4+ a bottle at Spec's
The only sours I am familiar with are the Russian River ones, Supplication, Sanctification, Consecration. They are pretty hard to come by. No idea if they are Flemish or not.
Woodstock Fellowship Ale tonight. It's an IPA - so hoppier than I generally like - with an odd grapefruit finish.
