What's the worst you have ever had Acquistion Disorder?

I think my worst AD every was collecting baseball cards as a young kid. Every dime I earned went to those damn things and if I knew then what I know now, I would be sitting on some serious dollars.

 

First it was Old Spice-related stuff - over 2,000 items in a five-year period.

Then shoes - more pairs of Allen Edmonds than I care to admit - shell cordovans, spectators, bluchers, balmorals, loafers, wingtips, lizards, sharkskins, etc. etc.

Then badger brushes - maybe 75 or so (but my rotation consists solely of three B&B 2006 models).

Next, a short stab at blades, but I stopped at 750 Feather DEs.

Now, colognes - 50+ bottles (not samples, but 1.7 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz, BOTTLES) of Penhaligon's, Creed, Guerlain, Tom Ford, etc. etc.

My wife's patience is incredible!

 

I demand photos!

 

I demand his bank account.

 

Why? Now it's all used up!

 

I've noticed something. Almost all of my big hobbies involve buying lots of stuff and trying to justify it. Such as having enough soap to shave for 10 years in the case of an apocalypse or WWIII

 

Yeah - the possibility of an apocalypse keeping me from future purchases - that's the reason I accumulate!

 

Well I didn't mean people using the apocolypse as an excuse to get stuff, but most people end up with enough stuff to last through one

 

I behave! honest!

 

Just guns and ammo.

 

My RAD was in fine form last month. A Red Imp 133, a couple of W&B 7/8s, a G. Wostenholm 7/8 pipe, a Dubl Duck Goldedge, a Wapi, plus a few more Sheffields and some others I can't remember ATM. Of course with all those new razors coming, I had to buy a new Artisan strop from Tony Miller and a Shapton 16K. That's justified, though... I did the right thing... Right?
Aww crap. Looks like the girlfriend's getting chicken Mcnuggets for Christmas this year.
