+1 on the perma sharp super. Excellent blade. My only backups are the polsilver super iridium. These are the smoothest blades I've found

100 Astra SPS on Amazon (Prime) for $10.55. I purchased these due to theit high regard in the Den. Supermax Platinum were not effective in my R41, so I wanted something reportedly smooth and sharp. At the price, it was a better deal to go with the 100 pack than something more amenable to a trial. I know if they do not work out, they will be snapped up in a PIF. They just arrived on Wednesday evening so they will be loaded in once the current blade runs it's course. Looking forward to the trial run and possibly, a go to blade.

 

Looking forward to your thoughts ounce you've tried them. They work nicely for me in the R41

 

Ladas are one of my favorites. Right up there, as you said, with Feather and Astra SP.

 

Permasharp, middle of the road cost here in Aus (24c a blade), but stunning performance in a wide range of razors.

 

We bought 2-100 packs of Feathers. Both the hubby & I get nice, close shaves with them.

 

Haven't purchased a 100 pack yet because I am having too much fun trying all the different blades. But if I had to purchase a 100 pack right now, it would probably be Astra Superior Stainless

 

I am not sure, I bought 100 Nacets and 100 Polsilver SI's in a very short span, a month or so ago...

My two absolute favorite blades, and I am sure if I was blindfolded I could not tell them apart.

I bought the 130 blade Russian super pack with voskhod, rapira swedish steel, gillette rubie, and Lada. Oh and I just bought 100 shark super stainless.

I maybe for the sake of the conversation should have added, that I already had a couple hundred of the Nacets and Polsilvers, for sure a couple hundred Astra SP and Personna red, and am dwindling out with maybe 50 each, (give or take) GSBs, Gillette Blacks, and Feathers.

Either way, if it came down to it, I am sure I have somewhere in the range of a thousand weeks worth if need be....

What is that anyway...? Fifteen/ twenty-ish years???

All bought in March. Figured I might as well try all these, as they are continuely recommended. Buying in bulk just makes more sense, there not going bad anytime soon.

180 have been gifted already. Have tried them all, and like them all. Still have 35 Astra SP's left as well. Will be posting a PiF soon too, with a nice blade assortment.
