Everyone has a shave to face or is it a face to shave? After a 90 seconds of hot wash rag along with Noxzema face cream and one of many soaps and creams, most decent blades will do their intended job.

I am just getting started with wet shaving again after many years. When I was married, I didn't shave except to clean up my beard neckline. I can't remember what razor I may have had back in the 70's...prolly a Gillette. I used 2 and 3 blade carts for a long time and hated them so, I looked for a safety razor and discovered a whole new world! Shaving is enjoyable again! I have so far bought a 100 pack of the Feather blades which are THE blade for my Muhle R89 & R89 Twist. I really like the Sharp blades so, I got a 100 pack of those and a 100 pack of Crown for all around blades. I an still going thru the 90 blade sample pack I got last fall too. SO many options and they don't cost an arm & leg.

I don't sport a beard anymore and now, I don't see how i tolerated one for so long! (my ex-wife wanted me to have one). Shave time is looked forward to now.

I grew a mustache for 20 years just so I wouldn't have the shave my upper lip. And now? Shaving is a true pleasure. Shaving is a kin to taking a dump or sipping a glass of single malt. :)

Just got these 2 tuck of blades, lets see how they perform on the different razors

As to why, because were the ones available without me paying import fees into Mexico and the friend who used to bring me stuff from the states is not traveling right now.

My wife and daughter insist on me having facial hair. It's fine because I keep it short and out of my way for the most part. I would like to shave it every so often but I'd rather they be happy.

My latest 100 blade purchase was the Tatra Platinum blades from Wet Shaving Club. They are my new favorite from the first pass.

    300 Astra blades.

*Any fans of Russian blades may want to stock up now, before *potentially* availability lowers and prices rise. Hard to see sanctions being placed on a Gillette owned factory, but not impossible. Shipping to western countries, however, may be severely impacted by current events.

I love my Russian blades. Lucky for me, I stocked up, many years ago, and won't run out, for 20-30 years. Also, when I shave, I usually use a Straight Razor anyway.

Shark Platinum - Wanted to try them instead of the super stainless, turned out to be a bit smoother for me.
Gillette Platinum - Liked these after trying the one's out that came with the heritage edition. Good baselined blade.
7 o'clock Yellow - truthfully, just liked the metal saloon pack they came in, turned out to be a good blade
Personna Gem SE Blades - just in case, like to have a lot on hand
Vokshod - had never tried them
Bic - also had never tried them

    In the vintage camp:

Around 800 Spoilers, 125 London Bridge blades. My blade inventory is probably good and I will leave some for the next generation. Here is the latest from the spreadsheet:

Wife says I have a problem. Not really, I'm covered for blades. No Problem! Actually I just realized I didn't add all the Gem Single edge in there...

Wilkinson Sword made in India due to possible scarcity of Russian blades and to have a backup blade I like. Tested these blades made in China, India, and Germany and India was the best value among them.

I've had far worst blades than ZaZas........ they were sharp enough for a DFS, but not sharp enough to be purchased again when there are so many really great blades out there.
