100 Tatra Platinum blades. These blades have worked well for me in my Henson and SCS.

Yesterday I got in the mail 100 Personna Reds (made in Germany now) and 100 Gillette 7 O’Clock Sharp Edges (Yellows).

The Gillette SharpEdge blades are my favorite, all around blade. But, if you can snag them, the Vintage Wilkinson Sword Super Sword, and Vintage Gillette Spoilers are a step better, longevity wise.

I have a decent collection of Wilkinson Sword Super Sword Edge and Gillette Spoiler blades for their longevity just as you say.

I'm really liking Gillette Platinum's. Prices have increased and are harder to find. I was happy to find them on Amazon and very reasonably priced so I bought 200 of them. Hoping for delivery by the second week of October.

Probably not what the thread was aiming for, but my last 100 pack of blades was a 100 pack of Personna GEM PTFE-coated stainless steel blades.

I bought them to go with a used Blackland Sabre I bought. These were the blades that Shane at Blackland recommended.

The Sabre is the first GEM razor that I have ever shaved with.
A relative gave me an MMOC years ago but I have never shaved with it as it needs a lot of clean up to be shave ready.

Changing opinion on the Tatras…..after continuing to use them with several different soaps and creams, I now think they aren’t sharp enough for me. I have a fairly tough beard, and before it went gray, I would have 5:00 shadow by noon. I do think they might be a good choice for someone with a lighter beard. For comparison purposes, blades that have worked well for me are Gillette Blue Platinum, Gillette Silver Blue, and Astra SP. I have a neighbor a couple of houses down that has a very light beard that I’ll likely pass them on to, but if he is well stocked I’ll PIF them to someone here that would like to try them.

Wilkinson Sword "Super Sword Edge" .

These are some of the "Best of the Best" as far as I am concerned. They are late 1960's to very early 1970's production. During the pinnacle of razor blade manufacturing. I have a very nice stash of these, because they are sooo good. They are out there, but demand a good price, unless you can snag them from someone who isn't familiar with them. They are very similar to the Gillette Spoilers.
Not all of these packages say Super Sword, but inspecting the contents, it is stamped on the blades. Try them, you will like them if you can get ahold of some.

Saved me some money. Thanks. I was curious about them, but suspected I wouldn't care for them. I seem to be a Platinum coating sort of shaver these days.

It would be fun to try the Tiger's out. I'm convinced that soap, brush and time help to make the difference in a shave darned near as much as a sharp blade alone. That and an English Tech or New. :)

Same! For me, mild razors paired with sharp blades are a perfect match..
