While on the topic of blades I recently used gillette 365. I used them in a British tech. Was an awesome shave. Nice and Smooth and plenty sharp

I just purchased 100 Rockwell blades. I tried the sample pack that came with my Rockwell s6 v.2. I found them very sharp but with control. I tried it on my Merkur long handle and my Merkur Vision 2000 and it maintains it sharpness after 3 shaves still going sharp.

I added a 100 pack pf astra sp blades to an order just to be knocked pver a certain price mark for free shipping.
The blades are very good (in my top 5) and they are very reasonably priced.

 

100 pack of Tiger. I thought they might work well in a Gillette old type.

 

100 pack of Bolzano Superinox, because I wanted an alternative to my #1 choice, the Bic Chrome Platinum. I foresee a Q-Ball Platinum Plus 100 blade purchase in my near future, on the same grounds, if I can find a retailer.

 

Great. I'm glad it worked out for you. Folks just have to get over the shaving stigma and try it. I'm glad I made the plunge.

 

Hundred pack? who buys that little at a time. These are due in shortly for me for a low price. Why, because yes, they are just that good.

 

Well they will fit in the old type. Work? Not so much. One of the two worst blades I've found on the planet. Hope they treat you better!

 

120 mixed Russians. Voskhod, Rapira PL, Rapira Chrome, Ladas, Sputnik and Rapira Swedish. They're at the Post Office waiting to come home. Why? To keep my stock up and to have PIF blades.

 

Piloted the R41 with the Astra SPs this morning. Quite sharp and smooth. As we expected, these blades eliminated the tug I experienced with the Supermax Platinums. Thanks, again for the recommendation. 99 blades to go. Cheers!

I tried them on the weekend. Wow. I couldn't finish the shave with it. Less than half way through I changed out the blade. I bought this little stopping device. Perhaps with a little stropping they will be good. Maybe it isn't a total loss. They do look pretty cool though. At this point it is a challenge to make the edge better.

 

I tried that idea with those blades. That's a case of tools being too defective to have a prayer, at least for me.
