I see. I have been making progress all the way around.
Being that the Shapton Glass is not the best choice, your input is a great help.

I have been told that the Shapton Pro 12000 is nowhere as fine compared to a Naniwa Super Stone 12000. I also learned from Lynn Abrams on Youtube that he swears by the Naniwa super stone 12000 as a great last finishing stone. Eventually, I will most likely get a Naniwa super stone 12000. For now, I need a better strop and will practice on that.

I have closed the gap between the Shapton Pro 5000 and the 12000 with a used Shapton Pro 8000 from eBay. I also need to flatten my stones as best as I can.
The good news is I did get an old beat-up Razor capable of a shave so far. It's not a comfortable shave though. I am sure you can understand why.

    Thanks, much appreciated.

I did not read this until after I sent a reply to your last post. Great you have confirmed exactly what I was struggling with.
If I have the correct tools, then I will practice until I get a good comfortable shave. Thank you for your effort and help.
