Which Movies had scenes where Actors used straight/safety razors ?

'Un Chien Andalou' (1929) - in the prologue Bunuel strops his straight razor, many people like to skip the actual usage a minute later
It's a 17min movie, one of my favorites, and I think it's his first movie as a director.

 

Over the weekend, one of the movie channels were running the Andy Hardy series with Mickie Rooney. In one scene Young Andy was shaving with a Gem.

 

Tin Man on Sci-Fi station. The character, "Tin Man", carries a str8.

 

The Golden Compass. Daniel Craig as Lord Asriel is shown with one.

 

Haven't read the whole thread, but just watched "Grumpy Ole Men" with Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau. Jack Lemon has a scene where he's using a De in preparation for a night out with Ann Margaret.

One of the funniest damn movies I've ever seen... :rofl

The movie Eastern Promises, has a couple straight scenes, but they aren't shaving

In season 2 Francis Wollcot kills a 2 prostitutes and the Madam with a straight.

I know it has already been mentioned but I just watched Battlestar galactica Season 3. Early in the season Admiral Adama uses a Merkur, later Helo is seen lathering with a brush (really thin lather, must be conserving) but he is never shown shaving. Later, maybe the second to last or the last episode, Adama lathers up with a brush, a bit better than Helo's lather. Again he pulls out his merkur, and again he cuts his neck. I bet they are running low on DEs.
Merkur should make a BSG special based on the centurion design.

 

Movie: Ten things about one thing

This is a movie that my wife picked up at the local library. While watching it last night I saw the main character use on of my favorite shavers. I recognized it as a 48 Gillette Super Speed.

I cannot believe no one has mentioned Crocodile Dundee with Paul Hogan and his 20/8 Straight Razor Shave. His blade was unconventional and did not look comfortable to wield.

 

The movie called Silk, has a brief straight shave scene....the rest of it is pretty slow and uneventful though....

 

dare i mention sweeney todd? im sure its been mentioned. but it was an amazing movie, and i have yet to see a set of straights that i like better than the seven day set he has in the movie.



ahh...im afraid i have a mancrush on mr. depp...

 

Can't believe no one has mentioned "The Untouchables" when DeNiro was getting a straight edge shave and gets a nick.
