Which Safety Razors are Concidered Med. to Med. Full Aggressive.

Not taking any adjustables, into consideration, on a scale of 1 to 10, let's say, for this exercise, a DE89 is a 3, with respect to aggressiveness and a Muhle R41, is a 9. From your experiences, which razors will fall into the 5, 6 & 7 categories?

I’d also list the Gillette Red Tip
and maybe a 40’s Aristocrat,
PAL Injectomatic and/or Schick E type

Not sure about modern razors as I mostly shave with the older ones

The Neillite 400. I've developed a taste for aggressive razors but after several tries I just couldn't stomach it. No idea how would compare to a modern razor but was well past any Gillette set on 9, in my opinion.

The Cooper three piece I just got is pretty beastly.

 

I've found I enjoy what others tell me are aggressive/efficient DE razors. Gillette Red Tip, and Fatip - mine with the heavier short Piccolo handle.

 

What number would you give the Merkur 37C?

Funny, I find the Krona to be more "Aggressive", than a flair tip.

 

I wonder if it’s the difference is in the one’s we used. I used the one without Krona on the head. I’ve read some find it milder than the one with Krona on the head.

 

I've got the one without writing on the doors and the long metal knob.

 

Huh, well I don’t know then. Mine was very comfortable, but very mild.

 

It's still mild, just more efficient I'd say. But I never tried an SS with a Feather.

 

I'd put Fatip higher, like 7.5 or 8
