For some unknown reason I bought a dozen Arko and a dozen Williams for the bunker... now I wish I had skipped the Williams. Arko is so much better, definitely end of the world soap. Williams is too finnicky for end of the world soap. Maybe bath soap.
i grated 2 pucks of williams and i puck of ed jagger sandlewood soap and mixed it up,pressed it into an old spice mug, works ok.i have a boxed one for nostalgia in my cabinet with my display razors.i used williams and wilkinson with a brush since 05 when i dropped canned crap.since i ditched carts last year i have purchased many way better soaps and creams.its a shame old spice was dropped too.was it a better soap?i know tabac is a great soap and it still survives.
Or maybe it is. Just really slowly. Eventually production will cease and somebody is going to revive this thread to say they told us all so.
Williams was Thee soap. Until this cottage industry took off. It's time has come and gone unfortunately.
Regardless of Williams' discontinued continuity, and the locked/unlocked status of this thread, I just purchased 18 more pucks. I was down to my last four.
I reckon I could have bought a couple of cases for them...stuff might be extinct before the youngest reaches shavin' age.
Maybe just update the title / first post, that's what people read & react to. Even though it's not officially discontinued I honestly think the end is coming sooner than later. The Combe corporate website purged all references to Williams & Lectric Shave in 2017. They have also recently redesigned the Brylcream and Aqua Velva labels and websites but no attention to the former two. I'm not trying to rekindle the rumor – to date there is still plenty of Williams on the shelves and online for those who want it.
They sell Williams at the Shoprite a few miles from stately RetLEO-07 Manor. I may have to buy a couple.
