So I got to say I am really having a problem trying to decide what to order here. This is killing me! Maybe the TSE handle in Heart and Soul With a TGN finest fan knot. Or maybe not... S@%t!
So I ordered the Bishop handle in the WW RBT color, (red top with translucent handle) TGN 22mm finest fan set at 50 mm.
Thanks! Damn hard to choose one given all the beautiful colors and handle styles. Not bad pricing considering the workmanship.
Mine's going to be up in a few days. I did a painful, but necessary extraction myself yesterday. Bernd's 23mm Silvertip D01. Here it was in it's natural habitat. You wouldn't want to see what is left of the handle now. I decided to give the knot room to "breathe" so I'm going with a 24mm hole, and setting it at 18mm, rather than the original 16mm to compensate. That should give it slightly better flow through, while still retaining good backbone. Here's my quote: “DWW-NG" shape WW "Burnt Oak Whiskey”. Customer provided Shavemac knot. 24mm /18mm shipped with signature confirmation for $XX.XX Since I don't have issues with pre-used knots I told him he was more than welcome to give it a whirl. Despite being a handle/brush manufacturer, he's never used a "high end" knot personally. He's looking forward to the prospect.
Im still trying to figure it iut too. I think im going to ask about getting something embedded in the handle
OK delivered on time! The pictures don't do it justice! I had the knot set at 50mm so it should have some backbone. This is a TGN finest fan. I just glued it in with silicone so if it turns out that the knot is not for me I'll be able to pull it without to much trouble and replace it.
