Wooden brush handle facelift

    When I received this brush it felt tacky and just didn't look very good. I like the shape so I decided to test and see how secure the knot was. It came right out with just a firm grip and pull.

    As you can see there really wasn't much glue holding it in. I decide to remove the finish and see what I had. As I was sanding with 220grit sandpaper, it started to reveal its grain. After the sanding, I rubbed it with #0000 steel wool, went over it with a nylon brush and rubbed it down with some Renaissance wax. I gave it a quick hand polish with a microfiber cloth and here are the results.

    Wow! The beautiful grain of the wood was buried under the stain. Excellent JOB!
