There's a discount store chain in my area (Rose's) that I discovered last year. They sell a five pack of nameless stainless DEs that I assumed were Dorcos but aren't. There was practically no info on who or where they were made, as I recall. They were the most incredibly smooth blade I have EVER used because they refused to cut even one whisker. Seriously - not one. Nor would they bite, scratch or nick, so there's that. They were truly the ultimate safety razor blade: so dull you couldn't possibly cut yourself, so they're safe. It was the only unfinished pack of intact blades I ever s-canned. Second dullest: some '60s era blue/white pack Personnas that came attached to my Burma Bey a/s. Inexcusably dull, given the brand. I am an outlier in that I got decent shaves from a sample pack of Bluebirds. Could be a run consistency issue and I just lucked out. Not that I'd go out of my way to buy more but I wouldn't hesitate to use again if I had to, either.
Derby and 7am platinums have been the worst for me. Astras are what I use but wanting to try some feathers.
