Yard Sale Find

D 3 Gold Adjustable. I am guessing 1958, right? What's the common name for this guy? Fatboy? Super Speed Adjustable? It's my first one.

Let it soak in a mug with boiling water. Scrubbed with tooth brush. Soak again in mug with boiling water. Scrubbed with toothbrush and Kaboom. Then a little polish with Blue Magic. I will take it for a spin tonight or tomorrow. Missing some paint on the numbers, but seems to be in decent shape.

Gillette Executive. You are correct about 1958.

 

Hmm, hard to see the gold in the pic. but if it in indeed gold plated then JR is correct that it is an Executive and not a Fat Boy

 

Yes sir. It is gold. Someone else on the "other site" mentioned Executive as well.

Very nice find, and it cleaned up well. It sure is pretty. Aside from the gold plating, the knurling pattern is the telling sign of the Executive Fatboy.
