I have found that Yardley Gold aftershave is a very earthy, sandalwood, and masculine smelling scent. I bought some to compliment the Yardley Gold shave cream. The aftershave conditions the skin, and helps prevent irritation. Since it was only $11.49 delivered, for 100 no, I found it to be a great deal. Plus, the wife and daughter like it.
Glad to hear the family approves of the scent. I found a bottle locally but they wanted $50, it was a small bottle also, so I passed. Yardley also makes a great vintage shaving soap I would recommend if it can be found for a reasonable price.
As a teen-ager, I had Yardley's "Soap On A Rope". I probably used it as a deodorant soap, being too young and excited to read what it was, and wasn't.
