Is it really an example of Godwin's law? I think to default to a blanket assumption that any reference to Hitler automatically is an application of Godwin's law overlooks the point Godwin was trying to make: namely, that if a discussion continues long enough, someone will eventually compare someone or something to Hitler or the Nazis as a rhetorical trump card, in order to "win" the argument (which, of course, makes the argument unwinnable, since the invocation of Hitler or the Nazis essentially makes rational discussion impossible from that point on). From Wikipedia: I don't see that Omelmad was doing that. Rather, he was making the subjective observation that the OP's mustache really did remind him of Hitler.
On this subject matter, I always have fun with that margarine "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter". It should be called "I Can Believe It IS Butter" , right?
