OK Paul, but it's gonna be really hard to hear you! Seriously you can be a "passably lousy" guitar player in 6 months to a year of lessons.
Well, I'm still "passably lousy" after years of playing guitar (bass is my instrument). Being "passably lousy" on guitar is where all the fun is, you can write songs, do singalongs, really have some fun without any real skill. Being great is overrated.
