This I my hack job with my flaretip ss with an astra sp. Even a mild razor will slice a chunk out of your head. My lather was super dry and I shoulda stopped but was in a hurry

    Ouch!
Even the dullest of dull razor blades can still give one a nasty cut!

I try to keep this fact in mind always as I work in restoring old straight razors with a supposedly 'dull' edge…
Too dull to shave with, but rarely too dull to slice through tender skin...

Ouch, hopefully it heals up quick - looks a tad painful!

I am very sorry that you were injured, and I hope you heal quickly! I do appreciate the safety reminder. My technique and confidence have improved over the last couple of years, but I always try to remember that it takes only one wrong move to get hurt.

As much as I love to shave with my DE every day, I will use my electric razor (or skip the shave altogether) if I am pressed for time.

Every now and then my shavette and Fatip remind me these things can get tricky, when you are in a hurry, no matter how good at it you got.

  11. Yes, you get 2 points if you end up with a successful shave :)
