...i switched to DEs not just because of the infamous "toxic masculinity"ad from gillette but also because being a "rebel" by nature and therefore a "linux man" i cannot accept vendors lock-in. See the linuxjournal links
Interesting. I have used Linux since the early 90s, read various journals, but I never thought I would see an article in one about shaving. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
No but open source manufacturing is the future of individual razor design. Just need to rework open source licensing if hasn't been already for CAD and other design drawings for 3D printing. The purdy handles and all the other stuff around the head geometry of a razor doesn't affect how these things work. The future of manufacturing is going to be small scale and decentralized over the long term as the 3D printers become better and more affordable and other processes follow suite. This doesn't include more easily workable and available raw materials yet to be discovered or other new innovative manufacturing processes that will eventually arise.
Yes! I Believe! Do I hear a Hallelujah! We all have our reasons, yours is just one in a hundred. But for whatever reason, good decision. Enjoy tp
??? there's nothing more closed than gillette. You can only use some gillette carts on gillette handles and vice versa. Unless you consider Astra (P&G but miles away from gillette philosophy) De blades
great!! i have been using linux esclusively since 1994 (!!!) Yes i even installed slackware from floppies..and compiling kernels by myself. Good old days! Nowadays i have 2 chromebooks dual-booting chrome os (still linux) and linux mint.
Gillette Fusion handles will accept Hydro5 Connect and Personna Easyfit5 carts. Mach3 handles will accept Hydro3 Connect, applicable Bic Flex5 and Personna Easyfit3 carts Sensor handles will accept Triflexx and other carts. Trac II and Atra have always been fully compatible with other brands. If you have any Gillette cart, there are after market handles. Everything is open source. You obviously have no knowledge of the industry, and the same applies to the article.
And now it comes in a single iso download, grabs dependencies automatically, and makes application installs easy. It's come a long way. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Dear Sirs, i would like to inform you that i'm not interested in Double edgle shaving anymore. So i would like to cancel my account from this forum for good. So i will look forward to receive a formal confirmation (keeping my data on the internet without my consensus is illegal). Best regards
Well he now knows he can get a Bic to fit a Mach3 handle ... Apparently not a lot of people know that .
