My blades that I enjoy the most are: Personna (reds) platinum: very nice blade -sharp and smooth- will give any blade a run for its money. Nacet & GSB by Gillette: sharp and smooth Astra SP or SS - just a good all around blades that has a lot of postive characteristics that most shavers enjoy. They are so closely matched its hard to pick #1 but Personna works very well in all my razors and is reasonbly priced.
I seem to be using only two blades now, PolSilver and Personna Lab Blue. Everything else goes to my son.
Both the hubby & I use Feather blades exclusively. We both get our cleanest & smoothest shaves from these.
As much as I wish I could use feather blades in a daily basis, I simply cannot. They are sharp, no doubt, but it is not a smooth sharp. They tend to make me break out and have major razor burn. For my mileage the isreali personnas blue blades are one of the best.
Astra superior stainless for me too. There are a few others that I like as much, like Permasharp and 7 o'clock yellow. I give the nod to the Astras because they are dirt cheap. 200 can be had for $18.30 on ebay.
