Your favorite Open Comb ?

I wish I had taken a picture of this before I cleaned it up. It was definitely a diamond in the rough.

Those are beautiful, no doubt, but which one is your FAVORITE?

 

I really love both of my 1930's Gillette New open combs. They give a fantastic shave.

 

My old brass ball end, open comb with a Pat. date 1904 with cracks in both ends of the handle that I had to soldier before it split wide open, it is old and abused but still gives a very good shave and only cost $9.00 I like inexpensive shaving.

 

I really like the looks of a couple of those Doryferon. These two especially. That first one looks like the handle is made from a Fatboy. I really like the head on the 2nd one too. Do you make the handles?

 

The first razor looks like a Gillette 40's "Aristocrat" TTO handle mated to an "Old Style" head...Is that correct Doryferon??

I can not say which DE is my favourite because each one is different like a woman
Depends from the occasion or the mood to select which i want for shaving
There are NO for decoration,i use them.

About the monogram and the stripes in Goodfella i bought the material and gave them to a jewelery
Here we call it "σμαλτο" (Smalto) and i use in a Merkur 34G also

I really like my Long Comb NEW.

 

I only have one open comb Its the Cadet TP-27.

 

This is my only open comb, so I guess it is my favorite. I just sent Gillette New off for nickel plating. It is a great shaver and I am looking forward to getting it back clean and shiny.

 

That "NEW" is going to LOOK sooo good after replating!!!

 

I liked the Long Comb New so much I got 2 nickle plated (Standard Bar Handle and a Federal). My distant 3rd fav is a 37C.

 

Those are all so cool. One for each day of the week.

Just got it yesterday.

 

Very nice. Mine is being replated now. I should get it back next week. I'll post the picture when I get it back.
