Favorite soaps....how the h*** did I miss this thread? I use mostly soaps. Probably my favorite is still one of the first MBs I tried...lavender. Followed closely by Col. Conk Bay Rum. JoAnna...you get that lather issue figured out, I'll gladly be another guinea pig.
You'll have to take a number. Let's see......the next number is.........299. You're lucky, only 295 people ahead of you. j/k
You got it! BTW the soap list has changed for me. The Gentelmans Quarter Mama Bear Conk QED Erasmic (I may have to bump one if JoA can fix the lather issue. )
The sent is a bit strong, It is like Tabac for me, I love it, it works, will buy again, just a bit strong.
I've tried desperately to like Tabac, but I think it's more wishful thinking than anything else. I'm sure it's a fine soap, and it lathers really well, but it just doesn't do anything special for me. To me, it's average at best, and I'm really not a fan of the scent that much. To me, it's too soapy, for lack of a better term. I like soaps that have a subtle, more contemporary scent to it. I mostly use creams, but lately, if I use a soap, I always seem to get the best results in both the shave, and scent department, from none other than Mama Bear "Rosemary/Mint". For some reason, that soap is just what the Doctor ordered! MB Rosemary Mint with a dash of Osage Rub post-shave gives me everything I need to get through a hot, humid muggy day in New England.
L'Occitane Cade - smells great, lathers really well (for me), and agrees with my face Tabac - a close second...always performs well and smells terrific
