I LOVE the smell of L'Occitane Cade I would bath in that stuff if i could I personally use the cream rather than the soap.
Roger & Gallet L'Occitane Institut Karite Tabac I'd like to try Mama bears and Qed and some english soaps PAT
Yardley. It's almost unbelievable to me that a 50+ year old puck of soap can make mountains of thick creamy and slick lather with only a touch of a damp brush and the scent is top notch as well. Perfection all around.....except they don't &^#@$%$ make it anymore.
some more soaps that I really began to enjoy a lot: Tryphon Permafrost Tryphon Permafrost Blue Tryphon Mentolo Connaught Eucalyptus & Mint TSD Sandalwood TSD Bay Rum TSD Lavender TSD Avalanche
My favourite soap was Trumper's Coconut Oil. After trying Tabac for the first time today, I'm not so sure it will stay at top spot.
Its intersting how things change. I've found myself reaching primarily for hard soaps over the last 18 months. My new go-to soap list: Floris JF Tabac Trumper Rose Harris Arlington and Lavander AOS Sandalwood DVH Jordan
Hmm, A lot of great choices out there, some of my favorites include: Institut Karite TSD Tabac Pre de Provence QED L'Occitane Cade Some have better lather, some have better scents....I do enjoy them all .....looking at all the great soaps mentioned reminds me I need to revist some of mine.
Floris JF, Floris Elite Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet Harris Arlington and Marlborough (Lavender is on its way ) Trumper Sandalwood, Limes, Rose TOBS Sandalwood T&H, Tabac, MWF Regards, Viktor
My three: MWF Valobra Stick VDH Deluxe. Palmolive stick is a good one too...As, of course, is TDH Vetiver
Nice Jeff, Those are two I would like to try......I have heard so many good comments on the Valobra....Rustyblade loves that stuff
Consider this another. Fantastic shave, though the scent is kind of... well... tallowy. Not bad at all, though. And I have a tub of Cella on the way for Christmas, I hope. I'm beginning to think that, other than the Fat, Italian soaps are where it's at for me.
I am late getting into this but Tabac for the best performance Mama Bear Dragon's Blood for the scent
You guys are gonna laugh, but the slickest soap I've used is actually Lever 2000 body bar soap. Granted, I haven't tried that many different shaving soaps (I've tried Burt's Bees and Crabtree and Evelyn's), but I didn't like them. The best way to describe its slickness is it feels just like the stuff that comes off the lubricating strips on the razors. I can't remember the last time I cut, or even nicked myself since I started using this soap and I have a heavy beard AND I shave against the grain.
Wow ... favorite soaps. Where do I even begin ... Lessee...in no particular order... QED Sandalwood Lothantique Pere et Fils Martin de Candre TGQ Desert Ironwood Penhaligon's English Fern Harris Marlborough ...that's just what comes to mind right now. Ask me in half an hour & I might feel differently.
