A very nice morning smoke, although it got kind of chilly when the wind picked up. Dunhill My Mixture 965 in a Lorenzo Studio Novara while drinking coffee and reading a book. I'll need to get longer pipe cleaners for this one, the standard 6" cleaners just barely reach the bowl. This is the first book by Studs Terkel I've read and although I'm not very far into it, I really like it so far.
That's a nice pair of pipes Chris. I really like those lucite stems. Normally I prefer the feel of vulcanite, but some lucite stems are really pretty.
Thanks Tony! I really like this line of pipes. They're not too pricey, but they are fine smokers for workday or home.
No picture, but enjoying some Peacehaven in my Briary small billiard counter pipe while I finish smoking a couple of Boston butts in a Weber kettle grill. Smoked two earlier today, getting ready for a crowd tomorrow evening following my daughter's bridal tea. I'm really enjoying the Peacehaven, a very mellow smooth light Virginia blend. Not bitey at all, burns well and tastes consistent throughout. It's a shame Esoterica blends are so hard to come by.
@Bama Samurai, hey Chris where did you get the Jobey pipes? Apparently Pipes and Cigars doesn't carry them. Thanks, Tony
I really like that pipe. Nice grain, I like the shape, and I agree with Chris, the saddle bit is a nice touch.
I have smoked many many pipes these last few days while sitting in the sun in a self knit weather in the chilly afternoons waiting on the kids to get hone off the bus from school. I've been reading with my pipes and I just finished Dean Koontz's Frankenstein book one. I'm picking book 2 off my shelf to read tomorrow. I managed to find them plus book 5 at the local libraries resale celler for $0.10 a paperback and $0.25 a hardback. I brought home 2 milk crates of books cds and DVDs for $20.
