I want one but thats the most expensive cob I would want. I may get it from the guy running aristocob if he allows me to tour his operation.
Ordered one of these this afternoon. I asked if the bit fit other cobs, they replied it seemed to fit when they tried it on a Country Gentleman, but was a bit loose on a Freehand. So I decided to place an order.
Have you looked at his Kolonel pipe? I really like the looks of it, slightly smaller than the General, hence Colonel spelled with a k....nice little play on words! I think that pipe with a vulcanite bit would be good. I've known about Aristocob, but had never looked at his site until yesterday. I do like that he offers several models in natural, or as he calls it "neked" finish, that MM doesn't offer.
I like the Kolonel Pipe. I may have to ask him if I can get a green one with the bent unfiltered vulcanized bit. They only offer that bit in red.
@DDuckyMark, did you see this Kolonel? If you don't have to have one of the colored shanks, you could get this one with a bent vulcanite bit. This is probably a better size than a General or Freehand.
Early evening MM Legend, with PS Navy Flake, accompanied by water in one of our new Duralex Picardie glasses. These glasses aren't very expensive, relatively speaking, and they really make drinking anything more pleasurable. Hard to explain, but they fit the hand so well with the angle and fluted sides, and the lip is curved out so it fits perfectly to your mouth. You wouldn't think a glass would make that much difference, but it really does.
Been following this thread for a while and I figured I would share. My Dagner Cob finally came in, and for its first bowl I am smoking a little Mississippi River in. So far so good, nice little poker Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I didn't see the plain one. Thats why I would like to drive over and browse in person. I am one that likes to touch things and see it in person before I buy. I probably should email him and see if I can go out there in a few weeks.
Welcome to the POTD, our little corner of The Shave Den! I really like the Dagner, and your picture just made my itch for one get a little worse, but that's a good thing! There is definitely one of those in my future.
Well, with all the cob pics I had to pull out the Country Gentleman for an evening bowl of Lane 1-Q. And "pull out the Country Gentleman" shouldn't appear in the "out of context" thread since it's in the middle of a sentence.
