I'm moving away from the Virginias and enjoying more burley and aromatics. I may try a stronger Latikia blend soonish. I love Navy Flake.
Pipe from previous night, 3 flakes of Newminister Superior Slices in the small-mid sized Briary billiard.
Pipe for this evening, Sam Gawith Medium Flake in a Chacom billiard. A lot of pipes are technically billiards, but this is a classic shape from the 1960's.
Before dinner, Orlik Golden Mixture in a MM Pride, after dinner Dunhill My Mixture 965 in the same pipe.
Dutch Aromatic Cavendish ghosting into Latakia... Perfection! Nice reminder though, I have a six month old tin of OGM. I think it's time for my one and only aromatic guilty pleasure!
Weather was finally nice again today (it snowed the past two days!!!), so I managed to get out and have some Comoy's Cask #I in my Dr. Grabow Grand Duke. Nice and relaxing! =)
Mystery pipe....my guess is it's black and sandblasted or rusticated! All good choices! If Skip has any Briary pipes in black, that will probably be my next purchase.
Talked with Skip at The Briary, and he does not have any of The Briary pipes in black, but he has some in dark brown sandblasted. I'll be in the vicinity of The Briary Thuesday, so I might bring one home.
Enjoying some Balkan Sasieni in my MacQueen Ranger while I watch Grimm online. Really love this tobacco; just wish they sold it in bulk.
I should have a chance to get the English Mixture and Superior Slices in the mail tomorrow. I apologize for the delay, but it seems I have had one thing after another come up every time I start to package them up.
I've got a tin of that not opened yet. I've actually got several unopened tins. Need to get some more jars so I can get them opened and jarred. Think a little jar time will help the Balkan Sasieni? Supposedly Virginias are the primary benefactor of jarring/aging, but I'm beginning to think it helps most, maybe some more than others.
