I pulled a fresh diplomat out of the grab bag of seconds I bought a year ago for the Ennerdale this morning. It was much better than the country gent I tried a couple of days ago, but I don't remember what I smoked previously in the gent. I think I'll dedicate this cob to lakeland blends. Hot black coffee and the Sunday paper on a cool, crisp morning made a good start for the day.
I haven't been smoking a lot either. Having some inner ear issues, and vitamin N sets it off. It's better today, so I'm smoking McClelland Blakewood Flake in a Chacom Canadian while I smoke a turkey breast. Our family is a bit spread out now, so we're having Thanksgiving dinner today. Got my WWII Zippo lighter back yesterday with a pipe insert. Every time I look at it, I think about my dad and all my uncles that fought in WWII. In fact, today is the anniversary of the battle of Tarawa in the Gilbert's chain in the Pacific. My dad was there.
A bowl of Ennerdale after putting the turkey in the oven. If anyone is looking to add a couple of cobs, http://aristocob.com/ is having a November special. Free shipping on orders over $30 and a free cob.
My bag for Thanksgiving Day, couple of nice 139 shape Stanwell, my fave! May God bless you and yours.
I had an early morning trip to the airport. my daughter is heading back to Colorado State after a nice Thanksgiving break. A nice morning to read the newspaper, drink coffee and enjoy a pipe.
Yesterday.....changing wiper blades on all cars while enjoying Russ Monthly Blend Log Cabin in a Briary pipe.
