A nice smoke, although I thought the 306 was a bit more flavorful. The 52 is supposedly the highest Latakia PS blend, but it didn't seem overpowering to me. The pipe is a Chacom Excellence billiard.
Pipes and pipe tobacco are a lot like traditional wet shaving, YMMV! Another thing is our taste sometimes changes. Like most people, I started out with aromatics, changed to Latakia blends, and wound up with Virginias and VaPers, and now I'm beginning to get into burleys a little bit, although Virginias and VaPers are still my preference.
Last Saturday I finally got a chance to open the Esoterica Peacehaven my son got me for Christmas. It was in a plastic tray inside the bag, and was pretty much a one piece cake. It's described as a flake, but it's more of a broken flake in long strands and pressed together when packaged. It's mostly a light Virginia, and the bag note was hay and a bit of citrus. I jarred it after opening. I was very excited to open it up, as most any Esoterica blend is almost impossible to get in the U.S.
Although the Peacehaven was fairly damp upon opening, I couldn't resist a bowl in my Stefano. A little hard to judge, as I packed it too tightly, and between that and being too damp, it was a struggle to keep lit.
After drying a bit of Peacehaven, trying it in my Nording brandy. Much better this time. Peacehaven is a mild straight Virginia, not overly sweet with a taste very much like the bag note. A very nice relaxing, easy burning smoke when properly dried. If you want a full bodied smoke, this isn't it, but I like it very much. A nice change of pace from the Newminister Superior coins I've been smoking lately, which are Virginia and dark fired Kentucky.
Thank you very much @Eric Redd. I think i will order it in the near future. Together with Plum Pudding? Plum Pudding seems to be wonderful too...

Do someone know if Pipes & Cigars ship to Germany? I wrote them and asked them, but no response yet. But i don't think that there could be problems or? Or do you know about restrictions shipping tabac to other countries?
The United States Postal Service prohibits shipping cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products internationally. The rules seem to indicate this applies to any tobacco that may be rolled into a cigarette. My guess is they won't ship it, but I would be interested to learn what their response is.
Thank you very much @Eric Redd. That means no tabac for me... New i can't try the Plum Pudding or other good tabac. Sad...
As many good Danish tobaccos as there are, I would hope you could find a European supplier. Granted, you might not get the two tobaccos you mentioned. Orlik, Peter Stokkebye, Eric, and W.O. Larson are all good Danish brands.
I don't know about Germany but I have ordered twice from Smokingpipes and they shipped to me in Korea. Both a pipe and tobacco.
I didn't know pipes are cool. Maybe it was the pipe or maybe the tobacco. I had my Standwell (the only pipe I smoke) laid out with some Dunhill Standard Mixture drying out for an evening smoke. I had my youngest lady friend over and planned to smoke later. She is 27, Korean (doesn't speak English) and very stylish. She saw the pipe and said , 'Wow, that is very cool (rough translation)' and then 'it smells so good.' She really liked the smell of the tobacco. She said she had never seen anyone smoke before. I showed her my humidor too and she is excited to share a cigar the next day we meet. I never expect a pipe to be called 'cool.' The Korean term she is used means more than cool, the meaning is a combination of cool, stylish and charisma.
Nice pipe! I've never tried Dunhill Standard Mixture, but knowing Dunhill, it's probably good. Nice tamp and pipe rest too. I'm glad your girl friend thinks pipes are cool, she would love this thread!
