Considered starting a separate thread but, with the limited availability and high price tag, there won't be many acquiring it across the shave forums. Additionally, Yates Manufacturing had nothing to do with this effort as they have been acquired by Razor Emporium for those that don't know. The maker or the machine shop that produced the Copper version is unknown to me other than that is was produced here in the US according to the owner of Paradigm. A quick synopsis below of this new addition to the shave den & Paradigm's stable of razors.

The 3rd shave in with the Copper and just like the Ti version, just a comfortably smooth and efficient working razor. I’m dealing/experimenting with angles of attack on what potentially gives me the overall better results without skipping on comfort and ease of use while keeping the closeness of shave to my standards/needs. Previous 2 shaves have produced 9-10 hours of whisker free growth, more than enough for an 8 hour work day, for me at least. So far, it has met expectations on a small sampling and I see it only getting better with use with minor adjustments in technique for optimal performance. Just like the Ti, this is a real good razor.

    Great shaves to all…

Pretty, for a $375 razor. Is it solid copper? How do you keep it from tarnishing?

I haven’t had to clean nor polish it as of yet but, I do have a jar of Wright’s copper cleaner & polish cream whenever it will need it. Works great on my Karve copper razor.

Beautiful razor but a little costly for sure.

Went with a Wizamet blade after a couple days of not shaving. Worked like a charm in the Copper D-back. Equally as smooth as the Feather with near the same cutting ability. The head design of the D-back does contribute significantly with the very little change in blade feel between the aforementioned razors. The weight is also a big factor as very little pressure if any is required from the user in getting the Copper version to perform on par with the Titanium though the Ti alloy is much easier to maneuver and offers better overall balance. They both shave very well and offer a nice dynamic in shave feel yet still achieving near identical results.

Just a lovely shave with this piece of kit. So light, maneuverable and smooth moving on the skin, it truly is an outstanding shaver and is near perfect for a nonchalant daily shaver. Getting the Barby heated up with Charcoal & Maple for some wings, burgers & steaks. Accompanied by a few cold brews. Doesn’t get any better…
