Man! Was March a great PIF Month or what?!?! The generosity of the TSD folks never ceases to amaze me. The number of PIFs, not to mention the quality of what was PIFed away, only helps make my case to declare THE SHAVE DEN as numero uno when it comes to shaving forums. So by now everyone who won during PIF month should have received their goodies. I received a pack of SE Don Juan blades and a stick of Arko from @Weeper Warrior. I haven't tried the blades yet. (SE's still scare me.) When I received the Arko, I found the smell overpowering. But this weekend I grated it and smushed it into a bowl. I used it yesterday for the first time. As I lathered, the scent dissipated, and became quite pleasant. I got a very nice, 2-pass, DFS from it. Thanks so much, WW!
This morning I used a sample of XPEC shaving cream gifted to me from Oscar11. This is a very nice cream with great performance when you get things right. This morning, I neglected to use enough product and ended with 1 pass and some touch up. It was a nice shave, just abbreviated.
This morning I used another gift from Oscar11, a short lofted Omega boar set in one of his handles (Rooney 3/1 style). When Steve first gifted this brush to me, It was the smallest of my brushes and I had some doubts. It took a little while to warm up to it, but a year later, it is well broken in and a favorite. It has helped change my preferences and steer me towards smaller shorter loft brushes. Thanks Steve. I appreciate the generosity.

I have been using the blades from the Blade Safari PIF I was fortunate enough to win early in March. I think I have 2 more blades to try out. Favorites so far, Rapira Lux and Voshod.

I was PIF’d this sample and really like the scent. It produces great lather with the Plisson brush I was PIF’d/ I finished up with my PIF’d Aqua Velva Musk (glass bottle). Bob

I was PIF’d this and really like the scent and performance. It produced great lather with the Plisson brush I was PIF’d. I finished up with Krampert’s Frostbite. Bob

Saturday-PIF Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Bath Soap Soap: Stirling Clubman Razor: Gillette Slim Blade: Personna Med Prep (3) Brush: Oscar11 TGN 2-Band Finest Badger-24mmx50mm-PIF Aftershave: Stirling Clubman WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit) My first shave with my Oscar11 brush that I won in the recent PIF! This brush is fantastic, both the handle and the knot (thanks Oscar11)! I felt it deserved Stirling Clubman on its first outing. I was able to quickly load enough soap to do a 3-pass shave face lathering. I finished up with Clubman. Thanks Oscar11!!!!! Bob
