I look forward to learning to shave well enough with a straight to be able to say that someday! Nice post!

Thank you Eric. One day you will because you have the right attitude. I am not going to kid you, but it takes awhile to develop the skill, but it's quite doable.

Have used the Tech OC the last couple days. With the Kai its performance is better than expected but nothing magical. With twin Kai blades the Shake Sharp just breezes through stubble the Tech leaves behind.. [IMG]

    January Injector Focus Shave #7

    Razor: Schick G
    Blade: vintage Personna 74 tungsten
    Brush: Yaqi badger
    Soap: Arko
A/S: Lidl brand Fearless; Lidl Refined balm

    IMG_20220115_205913210.jpg
The H&S P076 has been packed up and sent to the next passalong participant and I am glad to be back to my injector focus. I have also been focusing this month on technique, particularly skin stretching and non-dominant hand dexterity. Using my left hand on the left side has become much more natural after two weeks. Skin stretching has also been a reminder to apply no pressure. I have been enjoying very comfortable, irritation and weeper-free shaves.

If you are fortunate enough to have a Lidl food market in your area, their aftershave, EDT, and balm products are quite inexpensive and excellent.

Back in post #79 @Trigger noted that I might have a Schick E. I double checked @BBS posts describing the E and G models.

All E have a smooth safety bar, mine has a ridged safety bar. Mine also has the two patent numbers matching those in the BBS G post. The packaging and the razor are both labeled Eversharp Schick. This one is a G. Maybe some day I will be fortunate enough to find an E in this good condition.

Excellent shave and post Eric. I couldn't tell by your pictures if it was an E because it was too far away. Thanks for letting me know. Also happy that your getting more comfortable with your non- dominant hand as you continue the exercise. Take care.

My shaves for the week will be with a Type G with a new sChick blade, the Trotter Quasar badger brush, and continued work on reducing the donut of soap in Ethos Clean!

Pre-shave: Van Der Hagen Shave Butter
    Lather: Proraso Sensitive Shaving Cream
    Brush: Jayaruh 287 Synthetic
Razor: ENDGEM SPEED 3D printed GEM
    Blade: Personna GEM PTFE (7)
    Aftershave: None
    Post-shave: Nivea Sensitive balm

    SOTD_2022-01-15.jpg

I took a break from my month-long focus on injector razors to try one of the 3D-printed razors made by a forum friend. The ENDGEM SPEED is an Enders Speed-inspired design using a modern GEM blade. The razor is very light so it can be a little tricky to get the position and pressure just right but I managed to not do just fine.

Proraso's creams always work very well for me. There is a ton of blade feel with this razor so the pre-shave and good lather helped stave off any irritation. I had a three-pass shave which left me BBS on the cheeks and DFS on my neck. I thought about pushing a bit further on my neck but am glad I decided not to as I'm sure I would have ended up with irritation or worse.

My thanks to Roger Quintero for the design and for making the files available to everyone to print and to Matthew for offering to print these razors for me. Yet more examples of the kind people that are part of this community.
