Saturday mail call is a vintage bottle of British Royal aftershave. This was made by Saxony Products, INC; possibly in the 60’s or 70’s. From my research on this company I learned they were notorious for copying other brands of fragrances bottle designs; they were even sued by Faberge because they copied the Brut bottle and that infringed on Faberge’s copyright of the bottle design of Brut. This should be interesting to tryout as I believe this was Saxony’s imitation of English Leather.
I recently won and received from @Aztecmike a 1947 Eversharp Schick Fashion Razor injector razor via the 2021 Support TSD Raffle. It is in excellent shape and I've used it a couple of times... Today, I found another one in a local antiques shop. This one was complete with the box, blades magazine and cleaning brush. $10 out the door! The razor was well used with a lot of the gold plating gone, a used blade still loaded and lots of soap gunk. So I cleaned it up well, sanitized it and it will become the one I use while the nice one I won in the raffle from Mike will now rest in its new display home of the box obtained today. Besides having always wanting one and having now found that it's an excellent shaver, especially for head shaves, it's quite a rare razor to find alone much less with its full kit. Now I've got to find its more rarer "lower quality, lower priced" sister, The Deb. The Deb didn't come with a specific cap cover and non-removable handle like The Fashion Razor did. Instead, The Deb's plastic handle pulled off which served as a cap cover when storing away the razor after use. And I have never seen The Deb except in old magazine advertisements. Never seen one for sale anywhere or in anyone's collection.

My single ring arrived today and its in really good shape. The leather clasp is fragile but intact. The razor and case look really good. Now the tough part. I bought the this set with the metal blade holder but im unsure if its the right one although there are the 3 hole gillette blades in them.. so help me out gents.. Do I add another metal holder and finish it off ?? OOOOORR Do i add two broken down cardboard holders?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
