I stumbled upon wet shaving about a year ago... through The Art of Shaving. I used a Fusion razor, but mastered the brush lather. I figured the next step is to man up to a straight. Budget be damned, however, so I bought a Dovo Shavette. So far, I have had about 6 successful shaves, which have not been the closest or smoothest, but certainly the most comfortable and irritation free shaves. Actually, I was able to shave twice in three days! For me, once a week was the only way to avoid irritation with the cartridge. But from stalking this site for about two weeks, I would say you guys could have guessed that the Shavette reduced irritation. I must mention that I rock a full beard, but clean neck and clean cheek lines. I have a super thick beard that if left unchecked will connect with the hair on my chest and back of neck. Yes, it's that bad... To keep clean takes much effort, but it's quite nice now. Especially with some nice relaxing music, like you would hear during a massage. And I always finish with a nice glass of Scotch.
