Today's shave was excellent and hit my sweet spot of closeness and all is good.
I have this razor dialed in nicely and the results are in my aimed range desired. 1st few shaves I was applying to much razor pressure is my conclusion, very light pressure or just a little more than razor weight gives me great results.

This could possibly be my favourite hardware combo as long as the 610 doesn't begin to splay too much.
The soap isn't bad either. Although I find Stirling Spice to have a more preferable scent.

After the first shave I noticed the blade may have been floating so I tightened up the cap spring by pressing it on a table with the blade loaded. This shave I was able to use a steeper angle and like the C models the razor is a lot more mild and efficient along with a closer shave than at a more shallow shave angle. It is comparable but a little bit closer of a shaver than the C models at about the same shave angles.

    RazoRock Syn. 24mm
    Cyril Salter Solid soap
    Alu.Hawk / Windrose S/S handle
    Schick Proline [ 6 ]
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

The added weight of the S/S handle and the grip it provides turns the stock Hawk V1 into a very effective and manoeuvrable Razor. Today with a great lather from the CS Soap I had a really enjoyable Shave, and the finish attained is a match for those delivered by far more expensive AC/SEs.

This razor is what I assume to be the first I2 variant because of the branding stamp on the razor head and the earlier style short lever. My reasoning is they wouldn't have unbranded the razor afterwards and this would be a production razor made before marketing came up with hydro-magic moniker to better advertise the razor. I will be comparing the 4 major variants I know of over the next few shaves as outlined here.
    https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/schick-injector-type-i-and-j-reclassification.62682/

For the shave I did something I haven't really tried with these razors and that is use a steeper angle instead of the angle the razor tends to want to make contact with the face the way the handle and head is balanced or ride the cap. What a difference the angle makes these go from aggressive almost straight razor like blade feel when riding the cap to mild and efficient when angled a little bit more steeper than the razor balance angle. End result a BBS shave without any nicks or cuts and little to no irritation. I would opine based upon this shave the few previous ones with the B and C types these razors actually perform better at a steeper angle than at a very shallow angle. Counterintuitive in that most people would assume more aggressive means a closer shave and that seems to not be the case thus far with these Schick injectors.
