    Nice looking shave, Arthur!
How secure does the blade feel in the razor? Any wiggle or play in the blade as you shave?

Schick adjustable, vintage Schick Twin blade, shave 5
    M1.jpg

60s style adjustable injector razor used this time. This razor is also known as a M1 and can be dated for sure to only the 60s since these razors were only branded as dial razors on the sticker and cases from 1966 - 1969. That also puts this particular injector as only made by Eversharp unlike the ones called M3 adjustables which were produced by both Eversharp and Warner Lambert being produced from 1964 - 1966 and 1968 - 1973. As such it makes for a good comparitor with the M2 aka 7os style and the undesignated 80s style adjustable injectors. Razor was used on the highest setting like the other 2. Guard also didn't have as much gap on the highest setting as opposed to the other 2. Shave was also milder and noticeably less close but still as good as the Type N1. Even though this razor was never designed to use Twin blades unlike the 70s and 80s versions it works fine with one and perform admirably. End result BBS finish achieved.

More on Type M adjustable injectors.
    https://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/schick-type-m-injectors-for-dummies.64180/

    Final conclusions.
These vintage Schick Twin blades are viable substitutes for modern Schick II Twin blades and are worth seeking out in unopened packages especially if they are priced lower than the modern versions which are very pricey at the moment.
    blade.jpg

As can be seen with the razors used there seems to be a linear progression from the 60s to 80s style adjustable in making them more aggressive on the highest setting with each revision.

60s style aka M1 on the left
70s style aka M2 in the middle
80s style aka undesignated on the right.

I seem to have fallen into a pattern of alternate day Shaves, as not really going out at the moment. Also been having such good Shaves recently that regrowth is low, so saving on blade use. I know that a few people get surprising number of uses of a Twin Blade, but this blade is tailing off, though the Shave was not uncomfortable, but whisker reduction not as good as usual.

The blade feels quite secure. The spine just clicks into place.
But to be honest I think there will be eventual wear over time so it won't last as long as a 1912.

It would be an engineering marvel if it lasted as long as a 1912. :D

The CRSalter Sandalwood has a nice scent, not as strong as TOBS but maybe but a true Sandalwood scent, I have used it about 4 times since purchasing it and can not complain.
The croap gives good protection and post shave might be just as good as any cream out there IMO.

Schick L5, vintage Schick Twin blade, shave 6.
    L5.jpg

Razor is also known as a Schick Classic and incorrectly as a Paul Revere. This razor was distributed by International Silver but never under their Paul Revere product line. I started out with a single edge blade but the shave was a total disappointment then I switched over to a twin blade. Much better, apparently this razor was designed for twin blades also like the 73 and later Type L razors. The shave and end result was the same as using a twin blade in a L1 produced during the same time frame. It also confirmed the later Type L razors produced in the 80s are in fact the same razor head. End result BBS finish was achieved but a better result can be had with a Type N or any of the Type M adjustables with the same blade.
