I do fine with my Merkur HDC, and I have the occasional luck with a vintage. But, overall, my experiences with vintage razors have not been nice.

Given the score after the 1st 30, when is Brazil scheduled to take the pitch?

Judging by the final score, I think they forgot to bring their team altogether and sent the cheerleaders on.

The Col. Conk Amber lathered easily with the VDH Natural Boar. It has a very nice scent. Two passes with the Schick M Adjustable left me with a clean, close shave. After my cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Mennen Skin Bracer after shave.

    Cool shower
Prep: Lime & Tea Tree PSO
    Brush: WD Synthetic
    Soap: DR Harris Arlington
    Shaver: Gillette Slim Adjustable (6)
    Blade: SuperMax Titanium (1)
    Post: Thayer's Cucumber WH
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue w/ extra menthol added

3 pass, BBS today. First BBS in months. The D.R. Harris soap smells great and always lathers easily. It's one of my favorites. The SuperMax blades are proving to work well for me too, regardless of what razor they're used in.

Another effortless one pass DFS. In fact, this shave was almost BBS. I am really digging this 1924.

The Palmolive stick is one of my favorite soaps. It lathers up really well and has really good slickness and cushion. I'd say this soap is a top 10 soap for me.

And Fine American Blend is awesome. It really tones my skin and heals it after rough shaves and it does an awesome job at taking care of nicks and weepers.

    WEDNESDAY
    Late Tues Eve Shave

Another early morn for me means another night-before shave. A repeat performance with the Dubl Duck -after 25 strops on linen/50 leather…gently.
Super smooth shave for the second day, this time using the wonderful L'Occitane Cade soap. Three complete passes with a bowl still full of thick lather.
One 'Gotcha'—Most of my straights are round points, so when I get a square point—like this Goldedge—I inevitably get a bit careless and 'boink!'—I gouge myself with the super sharp tip. No pain, no gain…;) A gentle reminder for me to watch the tip.

    Have a blessed Wednesday, all!

Another brilliant two pass shave which resulted in a BBS finish - the ISZ soap is truly one of my favourites. It has such awesome lather and skincare, and although the menthol power is less intense than a Glacial soap it's still intense enough to please me. The 444 balm and the Penguin added plenty of extra freezing. These Rapiras are terrific blades - not only are they very sharp, they're very forgiving and smooth. ;) :D

I haven't used the Palmira for a time now, I just can't get as good results as i once did. I grated a fresh cube in the bowl...and it still doesn't WOW me as it did before. But SWMBO uses it exclusively so it won't be wasted :D
And the more i use the shavette the more i love it :yoda2it just hacks throuh anything

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

4th shave with the ASCO. I went with LASS Woody Lavender. Great lather, great scent. It is one of my “Top 5” soaps. The 4th shave with the ASCO was smooth, close, and nick free. . I finished up with Pino.

3 passes (WTG, ATG and WTG) gave me a DFS. Blade started feeling a little tuggy towards the end of pass 2, but I powered through and ended up with a little razor burn on my neck! Oh well.

Very nice shave. No problems with the horse. Sticking with one razor and soap has been leading to some stellar shaves. Have a good one.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech
    Blade: Treet Black (day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Col Conk lime
    Passes: 3(WTG, XTG, ATG)
    Post: Witch Hazel

Shave number two with the Treet Black, and it felt just like yesterday's shave. This is a very gentle feeling blade. I started to get a little more aggressive with my strokes on my second pass and suffered no ill effects, so I decided to tack on a third ATG pass with all the extra lather I had.

I don't go to the Col Conk soap much, and my water to soap ratio was off, I had way too much water. I dumped transferred the soupy lather to my bowl and went back to the puck to load up more soap. Well I ended up with enough lather I might have been able to shave away Germany's lead over Brazil in yesterday's soccer game.
