    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

    Monday
    Merkur 37C
    Voskhod
    Simpsons Chubby CH1
    P.160 Tipo Morbido
    Floid Blue

I forgot how much I love P.160, lathers so bloody easy and smells fantastic, too bad it has been discontinued. I'm going to fire up the Vitos tomorrow to see if that's similar enough for my liking, it's softer than Cella and the scent seems pretty darn close. The Merkur performed flawlessly as well, all these revisits are making it ridiculously hard to want to get my for sale thread written and posted. ARGH!

Wow, I have to say that this week's SoS is amazing ! Everyone's razors and photos are inspirational for someone like myself who is new to posting in the SoS thread(s), and starting to build my collection of razors.

Fishcrow (as usual), gssixgun, alpla444, stroker and all the other members taking the time to share their razors & brushes make me look forward to my next shave, and sharing the future items as I build my shave den.

    Cheers,

    Arko Shave Stick/Omega 10029
    1938 Gillette Senator/Rapira Super Stainless D4
    Old Spice Classique EdC

Wow!! It's been a while since I've gotten 4 great shaves on a DE blade...:)...But great it was...looking forward to tomorrow's #5...even if I need to change, I'm impressed...

And the Old Spice is still 'Knocking me out' I love it....man 1938 was a great time for shavers...both the Senator and Old Spice made their debuts...although I heard OS debut a couple years before but was marketed towards women...but they aimed at the men's market for Christmas '37...A small adjustment which made them a household name for almost 75 years...:happy088:

    alpla444 That's sweet!

It looks even better when I use my camera rather than my iphone to take the picture, but thanks, yes it does look nice probably my best looking well that or the 1936 OC Gillette TTO.

Haha, It's a Military Grade Shalailey. :susel: At 4 inches long and 4.1 ounces this Cadet razor is a hefty whisker stick! Actually, it's a relatively new "Modern Razor" made in India. These razors (a number of models) are a very good bang for the buck. The quality is great for the price range and they deliver excellent shaves. I would not hesitate to recommend this brand of razor to anyone who wants a new razor at a reasonable price vs. the $150. - $250. prices being ask for some new offerings. I'm sure the high price is worth it for these high tech offerings but, it's way more than I want to spend. ;)

Another DE shave. I'm missing my straights!
    Merkur 23C/Feather
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Ceramic bowl
    Tabac SC
    Cold water splash
No aftershave needed after Tabac cream. Don't know why, but that stuff works extremely well for me!

  15. Love the Photo and the Razors! What model is the Toggle and its History and is it complete from the day?
This is just a great looking Gillette razor! May i say, the most impressive gillette ever made!

I am all in for Badger Week! Will be using mostly badger brushes from Frank Shaving.

    sotd-18.jpg

    Prep pre-shave cream
Tabula Rasa soft soap - Dark Lavender
    Sara Bonnyman "Waterfall" shave bowl
FS Warwick (23mm) - Best Badger - Ebony color
    Merkur 42, 1904 Classic - Closed Comb - Nickel
Gillette "The Spoiler" blade (2nd shave)
    Vifrex AS gel - menthol
    Floid's "The Genuine" AS lotion

Will try to stick to the badgers this week!

The FS best badger had no trouble creating a great lather from the Tabula Rasa. Man, the Gillette "Spoiler" is very good too! Very nice three pass shave followed by a cold water rinse. Vifrex was very soothing with a great menthol kick, and the Floid after shave was very smooth with no burning. Love the old world scent!

    Cheers, Lyndon

And here are as well some reviews on some of those Cadet razors, mainly the 3-piece open comb and their version of a TTO. I have the OC version of Stroker's TP-26 CC above and it is lined up for next week.
