SLANTemper, Saturday SEpt 24th 2022

Razor : Razorock German 37 slant: Mfg 2016> excellent mid range, comes with a 316 stainless steel handle, shaves wunderfully IMO, affordable and was my first razor to get a true BBS. Still getting my BBS shaves 5 years later with the same razor. There is some blade tab overhang.
Blade : Gillette silver blue (4) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock The Dead Sea, nice unique scent 5-6/10 strength, excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Chianti's 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock The Dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR German 37 slant with a GSB blade.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Mandarin & Lemongrass Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 49.
Face Lather.
Lather: Palmolive Classic shave Sticks. (Grated)
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum 'Snapped in 1/2'. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi Katana.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel. / P&G Old Spice Whitewater ASL. / Aloe Vera Gel.

The Old Spice Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher and the J.A. Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It’s been too long since I last used my Arko stick so I decided to pull it out this morning and I’m so happy that I did. Wowzer, it gave me two boatloads of some of the thickest, richest, slickest lather I ever had along with its famous citronella/soapy scent that I love so much, and such a comfortable postshave feeling. I really enjoy the CutiBase moisturizer because it’s so soothing, and once again I was a Brut boy - that scent is so old school and beautiful. Three passes left me mega BBS - another tip top shave!

Razor - 1907 Ever Ready "Lather Catcher"
Blade - GEM Personna SS (3)
Pre-shave - Proraso Blue
Soap - The Dead Sea
Brush - Simpson Commodore badger
Post shave - Thayers Toner "Lavender" & Captain's Choice "Venture" balm
AS - Pinaud "Whiskey Woods"

I showered before bed so, I washed and warmed face with HOT washcloth while warming the skupper & brush. Filled skupper inside and aslo the bowl with HOT water. Spoon measured a dab of soap and it worked to a nice lather rather easily. I worked it in the bowl and then continued to work it on my face to make it really creamy and slick. No bits left on bottom of the skupper when I rinsed it out. The lather catcher gave a most pleasant shave that I could have stopped at one pass but, I did a 2-pass WTG & ATG with no cleanup. I also did the dome with same razor. Smooth all around! No cuts, nicks, or weepers. Alum bar was silent again! AS didn't even tingle.

This razor give such nice feedback and I can see why it is called "Lather Catcher". I can do one whole side of my face and it catches all the lather. Really nice! LOTS of feedback as well. It is the loudest razor I own!

Sunday Schick Shave, SEptemper 25th 2022

Razor : Schick injector i2 with hydro magic feature- Mfg 1954-57, tame mid range, well built to last, I like the hydro magic feature for quick cleaning of blade and clamping system. I enjoy using this razor.
Blade : Personna injector SS PTFE(6) sharp & smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream- nice mild clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Orbital ring 24mm boar bristle, soft split end bristles, excellent splay scrubber +great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : witch hazel beard area cleanse + Nivea refreshing splash + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Schick i2 injector with a Personna coated injector blade.
