Awesome, I think I found a new favorite razor. Of course I didn't need to shave last night, but I showered any ways. I went for a 3pass shave and too many touch up, but got 0 irritation. Blew my little pea brain mind. I probably could have went another pass if I wanted. With my other open comes it would be a risk for redness if I did that. I'm going to give it a couple of more tests before I decide if I wanna let it sit in my Gillette 'new' spot.

What do you think average price that this razor goes for? Just wondering if I got a good deal. It came with the original plastic case and original merkur blades. It looked as though it had never been used, but I'm willing to bet It has at least 5 under its belt.

Appreciate the info, you must have a couple of Merkur razors yourself?

Ha! Your nudist cat banner is hijacking your posts :p. I actually don't have any Merkurs, but the BF was in his Merkur Period when we met. Merkur has a long history & solid rep for razors. The Merkur Classic is still in production & has many fans.

It's awesome that the OC worked so well for you. 3 passes w/o irritation on a new-to-you OC is impressive. :bounce017:

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

I got one like that as part of a 4 razor lot, but no case was included. Is this the model they call the Featherweight? (the MWF didn't come with the razors)

Another nice second hand store lather bowl, maybe on the small side for me, but it has nice texture lines and a little swirl on the very bottom. Like it was made for lathering, but it wasn't. Had to try it for $1.

If your talking about the white handled razor ? Yes that one is the "FeatherWeight". I believe it has the same shave head as the "G-Bar". How do you like it and the others(Clog Proof,PushButton,1912)? I know most people seem to prefer the 1912, but if you, get a chance to try one, the EverReady 1928 "Shovelheads" are really nice shavers also. I like my 1928 way better then my 1912.......:)

Today was one heck of a haul day. My Robert Becker scuttle came in and it is huge. I got the largest with lid in clear black. Also several razors and a brush came in for restore. BUT the coolest of all, and I just had to show them off-My two rebuilt AR one-fives :p with mods got dropped off. I have a friend who builds them, so I was able to get at a very good price. Both with shoot 223 or 556. I'm not too big on hunting, but I really love going to the range for target practice. Great stress reliever. A little razor porn and manly man stuff. It is obvious who I did not vote for.

Nice!! How about some details? In particular I'd like to know what rail you had put on the carry handle of the second rifle. I'm thinking about getting one for mine. I normally shoot open sights but every once in a while I'd like to be able to mount a scope on it.

I have a scope that 45 degree angle red dot/flash light that is going on the second AR, it is a S&W with a 21" custom inner chrome barrel with converter and front grip. It's a beauty. I added the flat bar piece on top of the handle to that I could add a scope level on it. It's a nice little cheap attachment. You can't see in the photo, but underneath the flat piece it is open and you can still use the original circle sight that rotates for close range or distance.

Whomp whomp! Glad you like it! The second AR is a beauty, it is a Colt upper and lower with custom 19" chrome inner barrel. It is solid all the way through with the gas chamber guard and floating cover. The floating gas cover at the beginning of the barrel allows this rifle to litterally go through clips and clips without getting hot. The only downside is the barrel is really heavy and adds a little weight at the wrong end of the gun. Come on by, we will go put a couple down range. Or at least I'll shoot a couple for ya!

Landed a new client today so I treated myself to a trip to my best local haunt for gear. And boy I coulda went even more broke. He had a MArvey Mug with what looked like a super old puck of Palmolive in it, with a long handled horse hair brush. A few old spice mugs, one nice one with an old eveready brush. A bea utiful Hydro-Magic (that I will buy soon) in case with dispenser. But I bought this, been wanting a SS so picked up this '51 in pretty decent shape for $10.
