Ah MdC, one of my favs. I find the brain bowl looks cool but is messy to load.

I have been enjoying some variety and will make a decision tomorrow on my next 3017.

I decided to give Catie's two rounds to see if I want it to be the next 3017 target. Maybe, I enjoy the smell and the performance is good, but not good enough to replace.

This CK-6 formula that is a dupe of Proroso is a serious contender for my next 3017. Great scent and great performance. After the shave I was shaking the water our of the brush and dissaster.... a big chunk of the knot went flying. This Shavemac is a favorite, I will try to save it :angry032:

Thanks Keith. The Tuckaway is in really nice shape. I was fortunate to pick it up awhile back from a respected member's family on another shaving forum along with some other goodies.

Next in line after the Tuckaway will be the gold Gillette Sheraton. I used the OC Aristocrat earlier this year. I also picked one of the NEW LCs and decided to give it to a dear friend.

Oh my! I also have a brush with a Shavemac knot that keeps falling out of the handle.

My feelings exactly. I’m hoping it gets less messy as I use more of the soap.

I purchased an LE brush on another forum several years ago. The knot was glued in but eventually came out. I can tell it was glue as I've scraped off the dried remnants on both the knot and the handle. I've tried setting it with silicone a couple of times and even had a forum friend set it once since I kept having problems. The knot stays in place for a few shaves before coming out again. I probably need to use some kind of permanent glue, but I hesitate doing so. I am open to suggestions. :)

I am using around 2 grams per shave now. Since the soap is starting to get soft, I anticipate my average usage to increase.

I know and I think it will get there. Right now it is difficult to use the "fast and loose" later method on top of the soap
