Took the "just received today" 1936 Aristocrat for a spin tonight! Loaded it with a NOS fresh Schick Super Stainless Steel Krona blade. Shave cream was Tet-A-Tet. Brush was Yaqi Aqua high mountain silvertip badger. My few years of experience with the first variant of this Aristocrat was outstanding and I was hoping for the same with this second variant. I wasn't disappointed. Fantastic, fine shave tonight! Pretty smooth all over. I'll be shipping this razor off Monday for a revamp and rhodium replate at Razor Emporium. Until then, I'm enjoying it as is! Additional razor: I used the 3D printed Raptor SE razor, designed and printed for me by Roger, to shave my head, with a fresh GEM Personna stainless steel PTFE coated blade. Same cream and brush.
Thank you, and no, the case isn't being replated. Probably will just put it in the utility closet for storage along with several other brush and razor cases and boxes that I have stashed away. The lid material isn't in great shape and text is faded almost away and as the razor is being replated and will be in my full-time rotation, and the blade box has a new home in my Combination travel set, I have no use for the case.
Beautiful razor. A Popular is one that I have always wanted to own but never have gotten my hands on. The British Member of Parliament to the American Senator, if you will.
