Ive learned that Mike's Natural Soap is everything everyone has said it is and some. Today's shave feature Mike's Barber Shop, Scent- a mix between clubman and canoe. Excellent old school barbershop Latherabilty- I bloomed my puck while I was showering, using the bloom water with my L'Occitane Plisson I was able to build to pile of lather with ease. Performance- Mike's soap is one of the slickest soaps I've used, my razor glided over my face. The skincare is amazing! 12+ hours my face is still silky soft. Cost- $11.50 for a 5oz tin Would I buy again? I now have 2 scents, and hope to have them all.
I have learned that the New LC is a very efficient razor. With the 34HD or Super Speed I always had to make a 3 pass shave with touch ups. With the New LC it is 2 pass and touch ups. I am really starting to appreciate this razor. Clint
Is this your first experience with OC? That razor was recommended to me quite often as a starting point for OC.
Mike's Barber Shop added to my "try in 2015 list". The comment above makes me assume I am gonna like it a lot.
What I learned was about a blade and razor combo issue that provides a new rule ... http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/injector-se-party.23113/page-124#post-766098
A friend let me try his ATT M2 open comb and that started my search for an OC. After a lot of reading posts, I decided on the New LC. While it is my aggressive than my Merkur 34c and Super Speed, I have found it to be milder than I would have thought and very efficient. It is quickly turning into my favorite razor. I can only imagine what I'll think after the 30 day January. If you get a chance you should consider giving a New OC a try. Clint
I learned using the toe end of my SR made for a better shave and slowed down the process of shaving today... I got the idea from David of central Florida asking if that was normal to use the two to shave with and Kevin answering him...that is how he does it and by God that technique worked very well for me.
I hope people read that...it's worth knowing. Was that one of the earliest attempts at multi-edge shaving by Schick?
That the 59' fatboy I picked up for $21 with four other razors shaves pretty good. I think I got it so cheap because the adjustment dial was completely stuck. After some mineral oil and a little help from a vice grip I got it moving real smoothly.
I know someone on another forum that cleans and repairs them if you are interested. Here's what he did with mine.
Gentlemen, from my last shave... LEA Shave Stick will not be a permanent fixture in the den...and me and Slim are gonna become friends.
