    5/8 PUMA 68
    Parker Pure Badger Hair Brush
    Classic Shave Soap
    Prorasso pre shave cream

Honed this razor all day. Unfortunately, she needs to go back to the stones. Left quite a bit of stubble. Surprisingly there was no pulling just, not cutting well.

Thank you Joe. I had an older one and couldn’t pass this one up. :)

A buddy sent me this set of salt and pepper shakers thinking maybe I could use them for scales... would have to be a Shorty. :)

But I think it did all right with this brush. Had a laugh with it.

Definitely a crazy game of what objects can be used in your shaving routine.

Sunday shave, Heljestrand M.K. 33, soap and AS were Floris 89. Hard to better this shave.

Last couple of shaves with the Lakeside Cutlery Army & Navy razor vacationing in PA from TX.

Smoother than anything I paid to have honed. A great new target for my own work.

Pieces like this are what keep straight shaving going.

Simpson Super Badger brushes are extravagant in my mind, but I wanted one, so I bought an Emperor 2 a few years ago. Then kept wishing I had gotten the Emperor 3. I decided to fix that. I’m on a ‘No Buy’ for the Emperor 1, hope I can hold out.

    Delightful shaves. Thank you Scott.

I have not seen any near-wedge JWest razors other than this example, I am sure they exist. This is an Atlas 6/8 near wedge. It took me a couple tries to get her honed properly and now she is a silent whisker killer.

Thank Keith. I like how they work with the antique finish on the tang. Not sure who “configured” this one, but I liked their style.

    Langres
    Brush: Razorock
Suds & Balm: Moon Soaps Amaretto
The town of Langres looks to be an ancient town in northeastern France, known for armor making and was also a center for cutlery. I appreciate their craftsmanship on this old beauty. :)
