Patrick, that is frustrating! We had a similar problem as yours at our other place. We were gone at the time and it caused a little more damage to the ceiling. I think we're on to this one early enough to be OK.

When we put the new roof on we got rid of that vent . Did strangely enough find a piece of 2x2 about 1 foot long lodged in the stink pipe also when investigating up there . Makes you wonder sometimes.

To answer that Dave , I was a bit nervous but wouldn't consider myself scared . I did look over my shoulder a few times but then got so involved in the soap grating she could have been watching me the whole time and I wouldn't have noticed.
