Thank you, Dave! I've really enjoyed the quality of LEA products (soap stick, menthol shaving cream, 3-in-1 balm, 0% alcohol aftershave, Classic aftershave). Seeing Clint @clint64 using the soap in the wooden bowl helped enable me finally adding it to the collection.

Thank you, Joe! I was wondering too. The performance is almost the same but the scent is different. Looking at the ingredients list for both, I see they share almost the same, although some are not in the exact order. Both have lanolin and glycerin but the puck also has menthol added, although it is only slightly noticeable.

 

Gary, I just don't remember there was not much left of it when I got it.

Good morning fellas!

Straight Razor Shave # 237

Catie's Bubbles Synthethic Brush
Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh SS and AS
Whiskers: 40 hrs

This is my 30th shave with Mad Max and I have to say that I have enjoyed each and every one of them.
During these last 3 shaves, I have also tried a different prep routine using hot water and reversing my normal brush loading so that I get a thin, creamy, slick lather. I have to say that these shaves were better than before.

I only needed 2 passes to give me a near BBS shave. Didn't lose any crimson liquid and irritation did not appear on my skin. Didn't use the witch hazel or the balm, but finished with the matching aftershave.
This was an enjoyable shave. I may also have been converted to be a hot water shaver! Seriously, I find that it is great to be flexible when shaving my face. One more shave to end this month and year. Have a great day guys!

Awesome shave Joe. I do enjoy a hot water shave every now and then. More so during this time of year I am inclined to do so.

 

Thanks for clarifying it Danny. I thought the handle wasn't original. Now, I definitely would say that you have a Schick E3, even with the 2 patent numbers. They are great shavers!

Valid points. However, your razor has side flaps on the spring. Those were eliminated on the E4 model.
